Funny. I had a 2015 F53 coach and mine broke more than once. At the time I learned it was fairly common. I guess it still is…

FORD recall 22V-731
I just got a recall notice on the Ford rear stabilizer bar attach bracket.
The parts will be sent out in 2023, but i would like to inspect now. This is for a Class A, THOR ACE on the Ford F53 chassis.
Is this the bracket that might be broken or separated? Welded to the rear axle?

Got under there this morning. Looks ok, except for the upper photo RHS. Looks like the sway bar just goes thru housing. Is there supposed to be a grommet or seal around it? Just free floating thru through the housing. I have undercoated the entire assy black in the past, now i see rust.

This might be a different item, not associated with the recall. But, yes the rubber donut is missing from the housing.

I just looked at mine, I can't believe how thick the sway bar is, it looks like 2 inches

Safety Recall 22s62
Anyone (everyone) else get the safety recall on the 2021 Ford Motorhome Chassis? Rear stabilizer bar attachment bracket may break. They claim it is low risk.

Mine is the V10 chassis. Think the 2021 is the V8 with heavier bars.

Has anyone repaired this yet?
My recall notice finally arrived in the snail mail yesterday. Good news is that I talked to a dealer in town that said they have the parts and can fix it. I just wondered if anyone else has fixed theirs yet and what your experience has been.

I got my letter two days ago stating that Ford now has the required parts in stock for the repair so I will be making an appointment when we get back from Utah in a couple of weeks. I had it in the Ford Truck Center a few weeks ago for another warranty item and asked about repairing it then since they had it. They did not have the parts available at that time.

Got my official notification from Ford yesterday in the mail. It also stated the parts are now available. Need to schedule appointment with Rush Ford Truck Service Center in Las Vegas. Will also have them fix the steering wheel to make it centered. It tracks straight. But the steering wheel is off to the RIGHT.

Ford Recall 22S62 / NHTSA Recall 22V731
I called all the local Ford dealer to schedule an appointment. Sorry but we can't handle a rig that big. Finally got an appointment with a dealer in Christiansburg, Va. 34 miles away. After a week of it setting in their lot, they finally got it into their truck bay to inspect the stabilizing brackets and order the replacement parts. Guess what Ford will NOT release the parts because they are not certified to work on that particular chassis. Call Ford Motorhome Owners number and was told the closest dealer is in Charlottesville 120 miles away. Called and got an appointment for January 8,2024 (really 9 months out). I could drive 209 miles to Fayetteville, NC 2 to 5 weeks out or 254 miles to Park Ford in Hendersonville, NC. 2 to 3 weeks out.
I decide to check out the rear stabilizer bar bracket to see what the recall was all about. Well, I found one missing bolt and the other three bolts were VERY loose. I have since replaced the bolts, lock washers, nuts, and a little Loctite. Still keeping the Jan. 8th appointment?

I just had the recall completed a few days ago at a Ford/Frieghtliner dealership. I made my appointment a few weeks ago. They had it completed in about 5 hours. The shop was about a 30 minute drive to Fontana Ca. from our house. We also have a local Ford dealership that has RV bays but their heavy duty mechanic authorized by Ford just retired and they haven't been able to locate his replacement. Ford requires all work on medium to heavy duty truck chassis to be done by specific heavy duty mechanics only.

I checked my brackets, nuts and bolts few weeks ago. No sign of bracket failure. All nuts and bolts are secured. I still want to do the recall as instructed by FORD. But.... here is my issue.
The local RUSH-FORD truck dealer that services RVs and trucks here ins Vegas "DO NOT" make appointments. When I went to the shop to ask about the recall, I was told I need to leave the RV for 2-3 days. The reason being is that they do not know when a technician will be able to work on the RV, as they work on a first come, first served basis. I even had FORD RV customer service rep call on my behalf. The Rep got the same answer from the shop. I do not want to leave my RV on their lot for days. I'm afraid it might get hit or damaged when they move other trucks, or get vandalized, or worse, get my catalytic converter stolen (yes, the shop Rep told me they had some stolen cats from their lot). I am tempted to just leave the brackets alone. But I know legally, I NEED to do the recall as it is a safety issue.

I'd just remove the bolts put blue loctite on them and reinstall torque them to 66 ft lbs. No way I let them have the mh for days for a simple fix

My exact thoughts also Jerry. I’d go to the Ford dealer and get the parts myself even if I had to pay for it go home and fix it. Looks like it’ll be about a 1 hour fix. Even though my manufacture date was December 2018. I’m still gonna inspect mine when I get to the next Campground.
