Is this a Surface Charge?

I've got my coach batteries happily in my garage, and am hooking them up ( one at a time), to my 40 watt solar charger.
But I've noticed that the battery not on the charger reads 12.6 volts.
The one that is just disconnected will show 13.7...

But it settlea back to 12.6 quickly.
Is this what is referred to as a "surface charge"?

Surface usually means the voltage measured soon after removing the battery from the charger. So yes if the 13.6V you measured is right after disconnecting the battery from your charger then it is a surface charge.

Thanks!
I had never noticed it before, so I figured it would be best to check.
