Refrigerator not cooling while driving

Our fridge is set to auto but not working while we are driving. The gas is open (but pilot not on - does it need to be?) Works fine when generator is on and when we are at a site. How do we troubleshoot this?

Is your battery switch turned on. Same thing happened to us and never noticed until we stopped for the night.

If it’s running on gas pilot needs to be lit. If it won’t light automatically try turning on gas stove eye for a minute or two. If stove works try fridge again on gas not automatic

It's your house battery disconnect (USE/STORE) switch. The fridge needs 12 VDC for control power to run.

If it's like mine it might not work off of the batteries or inverter. Mine only works on propane or shore/generator power.

It only uses 12 volts for control circuits. It's gas + 12 volts. 120 electric + 12 volts.

Gas switch must be on. Battery disconnect must be on. It works with 120 volts electric + 12 volts. gas + 12 volts. There is no pilot light. it is electronic ignition.

always leave battery disconnect on except when in storage.
