Remove Defrost Vents

Before I try and destroy them.... anyone know how to remove the dash defroster vents on a Thor Axis 25.2? I just want to remove the top swivel deflectors to access the ducts for cleaning. Then I'll put them back in. Thanks!

These should be resistance fit into the dash hole. Take a stiff spoon with thin edge and try and get it under an edge and gently lift edge (pry upward) and see if the vent wants to move, or not. Don't do this in really cold temps since the plastic will be brittle. Hope that they did not glue them in, but you will know as you try. If it starts lifting, work your way around the vent. Be sure to protect the dash with a thick cloth. Slow and easy is the trick.

Oh - and I forgot to mention, there may be hoses connected under hood near air box, these may have to be removed first if the vent is one piece. If the hose is accessible, once connected, you might try pushing the vent up and out.
