Removing 2016 ACE tail/brake/turn/backup light covers

I would like to replace the exterior lights (tail, brake, turn, reverse, and marker) with LEDs, both to increase visibility and to avoid discovering a bulb is out on that one occasion when I have to drive 150 in the dark and/or wet.

We have a 2016 Thor ACE 30.1, but I imagine that the light assemblies are probably common across multiple years and models.

But I've been unable to removed the covers to even see what bulbs are there now. And of course Rhor doesn't tell us.

It looked simple enough, just unscrew the screws. That did seem to free the ends but something seemed to be holding the cover at the middle. It didn't tieless to moderate prying. I'm prepared to pry with gusto, but only if I know that's what's called for. Is there something else I need to do? Anybody know?

By the way, should I break it, anybody know wher I can get a replacement? My questions to Thor about (other) replacement parts have gone unanswered.

First off I certainly hope you aren't driving 150 at night! Some of the light assemblies are sealed, most have caulk behind them, difficult to remove, best to start at one corner and work slowly. The sealed tail lights sometimes have the bulb assembly twist out from the backside so the actual lens assembly doesn't come apart. Take your time and good luck!

If they are anything like the assemblies on our Axis they just come out with the screws (you can see me take ours apart in this thread: http://www.thorforums.com/forums/f27...axis-1433.html ).

If they are like my 2015 Thor Ace there are 8 screws.
3 up top
3 on the bottom
2 in the center below the top and bottom center

New to the forum, reads all the posts, finds one that he can relate to, and answers. Nothing against the newbies, it happens on many forums, all the time.
