those look like button covers for screws.

I was thinking the same thing...
I don't believe that they are meant to be removed. They sure look about as covered-up as you can get.
But if you took the edge of a small pocketknife blade, and tried working your way around it...

Suggest you use a dull plastic blade to remove cover

Nahhh... use the sharpest blade you,have: it'll force you to use more caution.

Those look like plastic snap covers, kinda like bottle caps. Pry the outside button off the inside snap which has a screw in the center of it.

I'm interested in how to remove one capped screw from a skylight frame too. My issue is the screw is no longer holding (pictured) it is spinning but won't come free of the frame. I'd like to get it out without damaging the frame and then replace it with a wider diameter or try reestablishing the existing screw so that it holds the corner in place. The 3 other capped screws are holding fine. Happy to hear how your project goes. Nancy

Wedge 2 flat bladed screwdrivers (maybe plastic knives) 180* apart, pry the cover OFF.

Our 2016 Compass has no middle screw and we have constant sag. I’ve tried heavy duty Velcro to no avail.

I did try the 180' pry...but I still could not get screw free of cover. Figuring there must be a washer or grommet on the actual frame. Now planning to just let it sag☹️

Try this maybe, use pliers or vice grips and put a piece of the rubber type shelf paper between the jaws and screw cap to help prevent cutting the cap. Rotate/twist down at an angle rather than straight down. It may damage the cap beyond use though.
