Removing tail lights to replace bulbs

Two questions actually.

I want to replace my bulbs with led. These lights don’t have visible screws. I’m ASSuming that they pop off? But I don’t want to force them and break the lenses. I’m sure that lots of folks on this forum have done so, so how do I remove the lenses without damaging them?

If there a cross reference out there that will tell me which led lights will fit and replace the old bulbs?

Thanks folks!

The marker light lenses do indeed pop off. I don't know about the tail lights though.

There are about 1,000 YouTube videos on how to get the back up lights and marker light lens off.

I'm not a fan of led bright tail lights.
They serve little purpose other than to blind people when you hit the brakes or in making your vehicle a nuisance to follow.
I really really try, be it bright tail lights or doing 55mph in a 75 zone, to not be a nuisance.

I'd sure skip the tail lights and brake lights. Why are you going to change them?

My post in the link below addresses the Lux value of brighter reverse lamps.

Ducksface, but don't you see, if he can get the lens to come off, he'll be able to ask another question on how to stop the leaks in the lens. Just a thought.

Charlie,

The taillight should have a plug on each end that when removed will reveal the screws that hold it on. I used a small screw driver to pop the plugs out. These are all LED and I'm not sure they are repairable. Your lights look the same as the ones on our 2015 Windsport. I found spares on Amazon with this description. Kaper II L03-0065 Red LED Stop/Turn/Tail Light. Hope this helps you.

Those taillights look like they might already be LED. One way to tell for sure is to turn on the lights first thing in the morning before the sun has a chance to heat things up, wait for a few minutes and carefully touch the surface of the lens. If it is cool to the touch it is an led light.
