Use or Store

Hi all. Very simple question. I am going to change out my house battery. Does it matter what position the battery disconnect switch is in. Use or Store.

Flip the breaker in the battery box and that will disconnect the coach battery or batteries completely from the coach. Then it doesn’t matter what position the use/store is in.

I would put it in the store position, less load on the battery.

You may also have to remove a high current inverter fuse typically connected to a positive coach battery terminal (if you have an inverter of course). Shut off inverter, then disconnect the fuse. Reconnecting the fuse may result in a spark as caps in the inverter recharge (even when off) depending on its design.
