Shattered Window

I have a 2018 Thor Chateau 31W and while I was going into the RV, I closed the door to the RV behind me and the window above the dining table shattered. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this something my insurance will cover? Or will I have to pay for this out of pocket. I saw an earlier post (2018) on here that said the Thor sells the assembly for $1600! That is ridiculous!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on your insurance policy.

Thor doesn’t sell anything to customers, only to dealers so you are probably getting the dealers price. Find it cheaper if you think you can.

Understand I cannot buy directly from Thor. But I'm not sure I can get this anywhere other than a dealer. The insurance company told me that they were going to send Safelite out to replace the window. I don't think that this is a window that Safelite can replace. I believe the whole window assembly; crank, mount, possibly window next to it, etc., has to be replaced. I will contact a mobile RV repairman on Monday and get his opinion.
