Drawers

I have a couple of drawers that don't stay latched. I've pulled them out and compared to the ones that will stay latched and I don't see the difference.

Thank you in advance

Here's a pretty good thread about the latches that break often

We bought these in 2019, haven't had to replace any of the new ones.

Mine have a small adjustable screw at the front of the slides that increases the holding tension

Remove a drawer that latches and one that does not. Look VERY closely at the small black plastic stationary latch component mounted to the bottom of each drawer opening and compare them. There is a small movable hook inside this component that can become stuck “in” and then not engage the movable component mounted to the bottom of the drawer when closed. Use a small screwdriver or similar tool to pry the hook back open then give it a shot of silicone lube.

They are an easy repair if broken. Most of the time the latch is just stuck inside the base and just needs to be pulled back out to work again. I carry a few of the latches onboard in case another one breaks while out on the road.

Drawer locks

I put child safety locks on the drawers and cabinets that failed. Many were bad before the 1 year warranty ran out but I didn’t like the locks anyway so I put on child safety locks. They work great when we are moving and when we are stopped I move to unlock position and don’t have to fight to open anything. I’m thinking about removing the current locks and changing to child locks for all.
Hope this helps.
I used the https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B47PDB4
They work great

Mine just broke on my last trip. I ordered 2 of them. I was thinking of going to magnets. But want to keep as original. I tried prying the latch open, but it doesn't make the significant snap locked sound.

Easy fix and now drawer at the main table don't open into the walkway. Solid click sound when closed. While i had seat panel off, found that the wooden attach structure of the seat, was all loose and hanging. So another job coming to fasten it all to the floor.

I replaced them as they broke with the magnetic ones shown below. Just be sure they are the double row magnets, singles won't hold.
