Replacement Door Lock

Has anyone had the problem of the door lock breaking? Ours just did and we were locked inside. I had to remove the door lock to get our door open. I have heard of others having this problem and buying replacement locks off Amazon and other places.

My question to Thor Owners is if you have had this problem how did you correct it.

I have asked Thor for the correct part number so I can have a dealer order for us but we are also full timers so I am looking for a correct replacement part ASAP

Just be careful that the lock is indeed a 1650 with the steel latches. I ordered the 1650 from an RV dealer via Amazon and received a 1650 but it had the pot metal latches. I used a magnet to check it. I returned it to the dealer and recieved a refund.
