Replacing fixed LED lighting?
One of the 3 counter lighting LEDs is shot. I went to replace and couldn't remove the bulb. I disassembled the fixture and it's hard wired.
The bulb is permanently affixed to the housing by two plastic pegs that have been peened over during manufacturing. (red boxes in photo). The wires disappear into a void between the cabinet's outside bottom and its lower compartment.
I looked for a false bottom and can't see where that's possible. Both sides come down to overlap the inside bottom, so removal seems unlikely.
I'm not short of ordering a replacement and cutting and splicing. I just want to make sure I'm not overlooking the obvious.
Has anyone had to do this and what was your solution?
Thanks in advance.
