Reseal Front and Rear End Caps

I need to reseal my front and rear end caps. Should I use dicor or can I use eternabond tape? I have both on hand.

I think I would use Dicor. Clean off as much as you can of old sealant

I use both Dicor and Eternabond tape. I first put the Dicor over the transition strip and screws let it set up a couple days then come back with the Eternaband tape over it. I then put Dicor on the edges of the Eternabond tape. Over kill but it sure beats repairing water damage.

Thanks everyone!

I think I will use both.

I like eternabond, but you must get it down correctly the first time. I had a friend that used eternabond and did not get it down tight. Then she was suprised that she had a water leak. She had stretched the eternabond and it did not make contact with the roof top.

I think I will get one of those small wooden hand rollers.

I used eternabond 6 months ago however i didn't have leaks yet. I made sure not to stretch and bought the rollers, pressed down hard. I made sure that i had a good amount (1 inch?) on the TPO roof as well- used 6 inch on the caps and 4 inches around skylight, vents, etc. I think leaks are going to have a hard time coming via this route- fingers crossed. Eternabond looks great at 6 months.

Also, install eternabond in the sunshine when the surfaces are warm...you'll get much better adhesion.
