Is the Power Distribution Box the same as the BCC Battery Control Center?

No. The BCC controls the charging of the batteries. On my 25.2 it is located in the basement below the drivers seat.

The Power Distribution Box switches the AC between the shore power and the generator. On my 25.2 it is located below the drawer beneath the refrigerator

Why do people wait till there is a problem before they learn their MH operations???

Yes.

The transfer switch, which some here refer to as the AC something or another. transfers either mechanically or electronically different AC sources so that only one AC source is used at a time. This is a switch, a transfer switch.

AC is a switch.. BCC and Power distribution box

A bit confusing considering all in all.

One says the Power Distribution Box is not the Battery Control Center, and gives me a location of the House battery storage below the drivers seat, and there is not BCC located there that contains a reset or circuit breaker.

One says yes it is.

And one wants to know why I am waiting for problems before I learn my MH.

Does anyone know how to give a straight answer. Question is there a BCC on my 2016 Thor ACE 30.1 ?? IF so where is it.

Reset switch in the BCC

On my 2013 thor A.C.E. 30.1 coach, I'm having a electrical problem. As long as the coach is plugged in to 110 or the gen is on have 12 volt power but once I turn off the gen or unplug the 110. I have no 12 volt power. I found the reset switch on the gray cube inside the BCC box. I push to reset and nothing happens. Where would my next place to look? I need help!!

I just posted in another thread…
There’s a good chance that your Solenoid is bad that connects the USE/STORE switch.

Over time, the contacts get corroded, thus will not “latch”.
Generally, you have two options…
1) remove and replace
Or
2) remove, take apart, and grind/sand down the metal surfaces that connect when it latches

If you do take apart, you will see corrosion from the electrical current that creates an arc when connected.

One more thing…
- once you locate the Solenoid unit, you can over-ride to have everything in your RV work properly. Just without functioning USE/STORE switch capability.

(I had this happen to me while on a boondocking trip. So once I located the problem, I wired the cables together without the solenoid so we could continue trip until we got home)

Good luck.

The USE/STORE latching relay will not operate if the house battery bank is dead.
