Mystery strap

While I was doing some routine maintenance under our 2017 Thor Ace 27.2 I noticed this random strap hanging down. I couldn’t get all the way to it from below so I removed the cowling between driver and passenger seats and found it there. It goes under the floorboard between metal frame and boards and disappears. I have tried to find another end and even looked around for a male strap-end maybe it had come loose from. I am no mechanic and new to my RV but for the life of me cannot think of a purpose for this strap or how it got there. Could it be road trash that slipped in and wedged? Any thoughts would be appreciated. 2 pics attached. I am hoping to not pull up floor boards!

It doesn't look like it belongs near the engine area to me - certainly nothing like that on my 27.1.

I agree: that looks like a "hitchhiker"...

Follow up comment. I worked around the floor board and it appears this has been here since build. It goes under the floor board and frame at a place that is winterized and it is partially encased in the foam used to seal that area.

Could it be something used to put equipment in place? If it is supposed to be holding something in place I just cannot find the male end of another or the same strap.

Thank you anyone who has an idea. I am leaving the cowling off while preparing for a trip so hopefully someone has an idea of what it is there for.

Found the same thing on our 2018 27.2 when changing oil and greasing fittings. As we bought the coach from a dealer that used it as a rental we attributed the strap to being left behind when somebody used it to hold up p a brake caliper while they serviced the brakes. Couldn't see any other use for it. But you are prolly correct it might have been used to hold some component during the build or something that needed to be strapped when the stripped chassis was shipped. As it did nothing we cut it off and pitched it
