Roof Damage

Hi All,
I'm not writhing this to bash THOR. But I'm very disapointed in some water damage we have received. Over the last year,we have had our ACE in for three separate water leaks from the roof/ceiling. As it turns out,the entire roof sealing job was terrible. Alot of damage under the roof, and if not found, would have ruined the coach. I'm now being told many THORS coming from the factory are being checked and repaired before they even get sold!!!
We love our coach, and I dont want to steer you away, but if you are seriously contemplating a purchase,or have just bought,I highly recommend looking into this. Warranty is gone(roof seals are only 90 days!!!!),and I now have to make an insurance claim on poor workmanship. I have no idea when we will get it back. I'll try to keep you updated on the outcome,repairs,etc....
Blessings and safe travels!!!
Tim Riggs

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing problems with your new motorhome.

Can you explain and or show with pictures what exactly was the problem, it's source?

The roof covering is nothing more than a big sheet of plastic, and fiberglass endcaps at the front and back. There are some holes punched through where vents, A/C, and antennas pass through. It's a straightforward installation with very little opportunity for damage, unless if it's improperly sealed.

Was improper sealing the problem?

I'm told improper seals. Through wiring ports. I have no pics as of yet,but if I get some,I'll post.

Ok,I must correct my statement, but I will say it is at the mis-finding of the service dept . Although they stand behind THOR putting on some bad roofs,my damage is allegedly caused by poor satellite installation. Improperly mounted wiring came loose, and bounced around damaging a roof seal.
