Black & Gray Tank Storage in Summer

Should I store my RV in the summer with both Black & Gray Tanks left empty or at least add enough chemically treated or untreated water to cover the bottom of each tank?

I store the RV for 3 months during the summer (June, July & August).

I live in San Diego year-round so winterizing is obviously not applicable.

I leave mine dry; but it's your call...

I leave ours ready for use always. Even winterized the black & grey tanks are treated and ready to go (with just a bit of antifreeze added into the mix).

Yeah winter storage/summer storage its all the same (minus the winterizing of course).

I keep wet tanks in the summer. When initially parking I add 4-5 gallons of water to start with. When I go over to run the genset I add a gallon of water to both tanks. I also keep the black tank treated so the bugs stay alive and eat the crud in the tank. Keeping the tanks wet also keeps the termination valve wet and the seals don’t dry out.

Thanks Guys, I've stored with both tanks treated and utreated, and will stick with treating both tanks with Happy Camper, as I'm concerned with alge building up with untreated water.

Since our Sprinter has such a low CCC: we prefer to carry as little as possible. That's why our tanks are dry.
