Carefree awning issue

So my wonderful dealer kept our RV for 4 months and one of the issues they were supposed to address was an issue with the awning. The knob on the retracting arm was wearing a hole in the vinyl.

Previously mentioned crappy dealer replaced the entire awning but did not address the root cause which seems to be an improperly aligned arm that is not tucking back under the awning and binding against the vinyl. Is there a way to adjust this, or is this due to misalignment of the bracket?

Bonus pics of crappy workmanship included.

This is how it should work for reference.

It appears in the first photo that the mounting bolts are not tight. You may want to check all the bolts. Loose brackets will cause alignment problems. Jerry

Download the operators manual from C of C for your Latitude patio awning. C of C is good about supplying any part and will offer advice if ask. Each arm is adjustable for pitch and angle but it takes two people to do it correctly. C ofC is good about supplying any part needed for repair. They have a tech person available if needed.

They are definitely not tight but I don’t believe that is the core issue.

Thanks. I’ll look it up tonight. I definitely want to avoid it going back to the dealer.

That was a simple fix that would have been a major pain in the neck. Thanks!
