Okay--so I asked a Facebook friend if they took videos and/or pics of their rig before sending to service dept----hear and read so many horror stories......they said yes, recommend it because their rig has been at the service dept since LAST OCTOBER!!?????? We are sending ours in 2 weeks for some leveler troubleshooting and some general questions and look underneath the carriage for OUR start from scratch know where we are as far as wires etc...........think I am going to take take inside and outside pics- with and without slides in and out....is this tooooooo paranoid????lol

No way would they keep mine more than a couple days!!!
Have them order all necessary parts in advance & when they have all of them in hand make an appointment for the work to be completed. If they can' t do this find someone else or contact Thor to set you up with a mobile service provider or take it to factory service center. For them to keep one for 9 months is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous!!!

Yes, take pictures before & after so you have proof as to how bad they screw it up, & document, document, document everything.

You could have driven to Indiana, had Thor made the repairs and had a road trip all at the same time!

At the very least, being that months of potential RV usage have been wasted during that time, get THOR and the dealership to extend your factory warranty for whatever time it's been wasting away. If you are financing, you could have very likely contacted your finance company and had them expedite, months ago.

Keep in mind that any exposed paint, fiberglass, plastic, and vinyl has not been maintained during that time and is decomposing due to UV exposure and dirt, (that's a BIG deal in my neck of the woods).
