Grandsons wish it on the street in front of the house each summer. Mobile guys come to the CGs in FL in the winter, $4 per foot wash and $10 wash/wax. Mobile guy comes to the storage lot as well. I don't do ladders any more as old bones take too long to heal.

Question: Whose tape measure do they use in order to set the price?

Usually, before every trip and we go away every other weekend in the summer, if it's really bad I'll do it the day after we get back. Wax twice and wash the roof about twice a year, shes parked at the house under cover. When we went to France (8 times) I washed the RV on arrival, but some sites weren't to happy about me washing on a pitch so if gave them a few € which made it ok.

I use window cleaner on the whole coach take the lovebugs off and no water needed each time we stop in a campground with a microfiber cloth no scratches

Blue Beacon Truck Wash (or any commercial truck wash). Just make sure they hand brush and hose rinse it...no pressure wands. They do an excellent job. I run through the one close to me every time we come in from a trip. Pull in the driveway looking brand new!!

I’m a full timer so I wash it about 5 times/year depending on how dirty it is, of course. I use Blue Beacon truck washes while on trips, I love their RainX treatment and the citrus wheel wash, they do an excellent job for about $60. When I wash it myself instead of drying with a towel I use a California Water Blade, super flexible squeegee that takes water off everything without a towel.
I usually have to wash the windshield using a ladder with Windex and paper towels after I get the rig washed and dried to really get it good.

Blue Beacon works great for me as the coach gets dried by the wind on the way to the house. Well worth the money spent!!

I wash my 30ft 2 or 3 times a year and wax twice a year.
Washing I avoid the Brush it seems to leave small scratches so I found a extension pole with a soft 24" soft cloth designed for washing large vehicles. It works great and I don't have to buff out the scratches later.
Like most have commented waxing is done by hand and buffed off and takes 2-4 days based on schedule and temperature.
Good luck

wash the roof once a year, but do the front end after every trip (bug removal) and wax it (easier to get the bugs off). Sides and rear as needed usually four times a year and wax once. I clean the windshield prior to each trip. I use a pressure washer with a spotless filter. I use dishwashing detergent and soft long handle brush. I use Rain X for windows. And a spray on tire protector.

Where we store our new rig they have a complimentary wash bay. I spent a couple hours washing it a couple weeks ago. We take it on short trips every 2-3 weeks and have a couple long trips planned as well.

We keep it stored indoors, but I was wondering what is the general consensus on how often you wash yours. Not really interested in products for cleaning. Just curious about frequency. With this wash bay available I can see washing our's about every month while the weather is nice.

We wash ours when we take it out of storage and then prior to or after each longer trip, and occasionally if it needs it, after short trips. So I guess the easy answer is - whenever we feel it needs it.

During my semi annual roof cleaning, i noticed mildew and blacken edge seal on the roof to side molding. I use the commercial cleaner from Walmart, but it takes alot of scrubbing to get the edge molding clean. Anyone have a better product for cleaning the black residue along the roof edge?

Got it! An old misnomer, the faster you clean the faster the mold and mildew comes back.

No schedule. When dirty, it gets a bath at home by hand. Long pole with soft carwash brush and Shirley doing the rinsing. :-) My neighbors do not give me grief. But in our town you can have it home for 72 hours before the city will take a complaint.

I also see the black comes down from above the roof in a few areas. I will start looking at installing diverter strips on the roof to direct the AC unit water to the rear of the RV.

This stuff is absolutely magic on black streaks. Someone on this forum turned me on to it a few years back. I found it at Home Depot. Of all places….!

Constant Black Streaking on RV.

Thanks, i will use anything that works. I literally washed the RV prior to this storm 'Izzy" we are having in the South and moving North.

Today i went out to the RV storage and the periphery of the RV is already black streaking. Worse at the awing rails.

I will take this into my own hands and i have bought 3/8" bulb seal, i will lay a bead along the entire periphery of the RV roof. This will force the water to drain either front or rear and not over the sides. I will also start storing the RV with a the front higher than back to drain water aft.
