I just wondered if any other AXIS/VEGAS owners had this issue.

I have had this issue since we bought the coach of "damp" conditions in the outside storage compartment next to the door, under the kitchen window.

We took it back to the dealer twice. They made "adjustments" but the conditions persist.

If you look inside you see condensation on the roof and walls of the compartment eventually pooling on the floor of said compartment. There are no seeable cracks in the poly resin of the compartment that it is made of.

I have tried the "put a light" in the compartment at night and look for "light leaks" and have seen nothing. I have tried to shoot water at the closed compartment and see no water at the end of the test.

I just obtained the construction drawings from THOR (to enable me to drill holes through the floor and miss the steel beams) I noticed that there is a 3 x 1.5 inch steel tube right next to a 1.5 X 1.5 tube. This would give 4.5 inches of steel with no foam insulation above the poly compartment. I am not sure if this would conduct the coolness of the coach A/C causing the condensation or not.

However, if this WAS the case, I figured that I wouldn't be the only AXIS/VEGAS owner with the problem. Anyone else have this issue? All my other compartments are dry...

I would call the service center in Wakarusa In. Tomorrow and ask for some tips on what to look for. They probably have fixed their fair share and know exactly the issue.

I also remembered seeing a unit stripped to the walls in kitchen area. The moisture was connected to the oven fan not being sealed correctly outside as the source running down wall.
Some owners have had luck stabbing the walls with a moisture meter available at big box stores. Tracking down source.

Hello Mo Mike, I have found water on the floor in the compartment after returning from a trip. I thought it was just a bad seal. The seal doesn't look torn or ripped or distorted and anything. That is the only cabinet that gets condensation in it. I have a small cloth tool bag stored in there and it has gotten wet to the point where I unload the cabinet and make sure all dries out. Now after reading this, I am going to keep an eye on it closer and put it through a few checks to see if in fact it is a seal or something else. Thanks for mentioning this.

I noticed on my rig that both latches have rust on the inside of the outside storage compartment under the sink
The rust was on the latches when I purchased the Vegas
And, it’s the only compartment with rusty latches
However, since I have owned this ride, I have not seen water developing in that compartment
So...
