Quick Tip for Wipers

Keeping the wipers off the glass while not in use (parked) will greatly extend the wiper life. You can buy stand-offs, or cut a section of a $1 pool noodle to do the same thing. Pool noodles - they aren’t just for slide corners!Click image for larger version

While you're doing the excellent suggestion from the op, consider the above while you're at it.

Scratch that. The pool noodles compressed over a few days and the wipers were back on the glass. So I cut and notched a section of ABS I had in the corner of the garage. That worked perfectly. Click image for larger version

I use old tennis balls between the wiper arms and the windshield. I walk a lot and have been able to find them for free whilst out an about.
