Sealing a VEGAS 25.2 roof
How many tubes of DICOR should I expect to use to seal the front/end cap and penetrations on a 25.2 VEGAS?
I think I seriously underestimated with two (2) tubes...

My front and end caps were in good shape but I wanted to add more dicor anyways. I went through 4 tubes but I also did everything else up there. Probably could have used another tube or two but I was out after the four.
Sometimes you can get a good deal on 4 packs on amazon

Let me throw this at you.
I've been thinking of putting eternabond tape, 4", all around the roof. Front and rear caps and the sides.
You can get a 50 ft roll for $50 so for mr I'd get 2 rolls. That would leave me little over 20 ft for vents
This would make roof inspection and maintenance very easy

What did you use to clean the surface before applying the DICOR?

Normally I start with Dawn and a hand held scrub brush to clean the loose dirt off. Then Denatured alcohol or mineral sprits. I put it on a rag and scrub off what ever dirt was left on. Then clean again with the Dawn. Wipe everything down with clean rags and let dry. Sometimes I use rubbing alcohol as the final cleaning step.
Once everything is dry I apply the dicor
Ill probably follow the above if I do the eternabond. I really like the eternabond idea. Think its a more permanent fix

I just added eternabond tape to the front and back caps a few months ago.
I have not had to add any dicor sealant or or do any maintenance since ...other than a good washing with dawn .
See attached pics.

How much eternabond did you use for your coach? Did you do the vent penetrations also?

Eterna bond sells their own pre-tape spray cleaner.
Available on amazon.

I always dicor all my eternabond edges, Extra leakage protection.
I have done this on a few older RV's and never had issues afterwards.

Two ten foot pieces for the caps . I also have done the tape on the rear ac years ago to cover up the vent holes when I put the ac in . No issues so far and that has been 3 years. I will do the others as I replace once they break.

Did you use the 4" or 6" tape?

Are you doing this as preventative maintenance… So you don’t get a leak? Do you have a leak? How old are your RV’s? I didn’t do any roof work on my last RV for 10 years... I inspected several times a year... then finally resealed the whole roof. Just curious. Thanks Bradley

No leak, 2016 Hurricane 29M. Decent size cracks in the existing sealant seams on both front and rear caps. I really should have caught this a bit sooner. I would call it mostly maintenance. I’ll do everything else on the roof now too using the dicor lap sealant.

Doing it as prevention here... Also after going through a massive hail storm, just want to make sure it doesn't leak

I used the 6” tape.
Install:
1.I washed the roof.
2.(Optional )scraped the old dicor off so I had about a 1-1/2” area on each side of the joint for the eternabond tape to stick to.
3. Cleaned the surface with the eternabond cleaner .
4. Slowly put the tape down ( had help from the dw) and rolled the joint twice with a 1” paper hanger roller.
That’s it... enjoy less maintenance 👍🏼
P.S. I used a heat gun to soften the old dicor.
Hope this helps

Most of the videos online, you have looked at them hopefully, tell you to use mineral spirits.
