need some help finding replacement wipper blades. they are 29 inches long with a j hook

I got tired of the cost of the replacement ones at $38 a piece...so I modified the arm to except a off the shelf 28” wiper blade.

So did it work? did you just grind down the J hook width? Or did you need to bend the hook also?
