Series of Issues 2018 Thor Chateau

We have had our 2018 Thor Chateau, 31W for almost a year and we have run into what I would consider, more than our fair share of problems.
1. The latest being that the wing wall trim, under the walls, were not properly sealed. Therefore, we have water damage up both side wing walls.
2. The window next to the entry door was improperly installed and we had water rushing through the interior wall during rainstorms.
3. The foam insulation between the storage compartments and wall are falling out.
4. The trim around the driver's seat is too short to latch together.
5. The locks on the cabinets in the kitchen are continuously breaking.
6. The valence trim in the bedroom has come off the wall.
7. The glued paper at the front of the RV, on the top area of the sleeping section has come off.
8. The shower wall came unfixed from the top of the wall.
9. The slide wouldn't retract so I had to find the slide controller and put it in manual mode just to get the slide in. Still don’t know why it did that. We will have to make another trip to Camping World to get that figured out!

Is this normal or do we have a lemon???

sadly, it is normal..... and yes it's a lemon....they all are.

I'm pretty sure my 1 year list was much longer than yours.
fix what you can, change what makes sense, live with anything that aren't too bad. My advice is to not focus on the negatives, look at the opportunities instead
I'm with 99dart...drive it and have fun!

Yep...that's why we buy them...to make them perfect. And by "perfect" I mean fix what's broke and modify as you go. Make it the way YOU want it. Frustrating at times but very satisfying when you see just what you are capable of doing with it. The first year is when most of the bad stuff rears it's ugly head, after that it usually starts to settle down. As said in the posts above...just go with it and Have Fun!

Sorry to hear of your troubles but can't stop thinking you are lucky for such a short list of defects.

OK...so push through the bad times and enjoy the good ones. That is the message I am hearing. Thanks to all who let me know how this really works.

Our RS26 hasn't had quite the list yours has but we've had our share including just having our wing walls replaced due to water intrusion. But the good times have far out weighed the bad. Such is RV life.
