Probably weak electrical circuit at the campground. It will happen again so you need to learn how to manage loads.

Do you have a way to measure your draw at the pedestal?

Hopefully you have an EMS connected to the incoming power source if you're having this kind of power fluctuations to protect the A/C, microwave & all the other electronics onboard.

Just to clarify in my head, only the microwave shuts down? The remainder of the AC in the MH stays on? You are asking, like a question, how should we know?

"Just the facts ma'am."

Do you have an energy management system that sheds loads when the current nears 30 amps. Sounds like when the compressor is running on the air conditioner and the microwave at the same time you might be exceeding 30 amps. When the compressor shuts off there is enough margin left to run the microwave so it starts back up. If you do have an EMS it all depends on how the priority is set. If the air conditioner has a higher priority than the microwave then the microwave gets shed first.

105 is a bit on the low side...

Absolutely low

Below 110v you will pull a lot more amps, heat things up and shorten life of every appliance involved

I really don't like being below 115v for extended periods

That alone could be the source of this issue...

As mentioned above the AC line voltage is too low and you run the risk of damaging equipment and/or your distribution center. Feel the 30amp AC breaker in the distribution center and if it is more than warm to the touch you are drawing excess amps. Try running AC on low vs high.

If I ran into this situation I would hook up my 50 to 30 amp dogbone and see if I got better power. Could be one leg of the power to the pedestal being low. I would cross my fingers that the other leg was good and the dogbone connected to that leg. Never know without trying. Just me…I like to tinker. Damn engineers.

I’d ask the campground to either fix it or move me. I also like the 50 to 30 dog bone idea.

The microwave is maybe a little more sensitive to the low voltage at that site. 103 VAC is pretty low. It may be better at the next stop. GL!

Operating anything in your RV at lower than 110 is very risky and definitely will damage equipment long term

Short term you will push your luck with hot insulation and from experience melted a few plugs

Using the dogbone and one leg is absolutely the thing to try

If voltage is low then hopefully you are able to move on

Going to be interesting if we don't get with upgrading the grid and more camp grounds

The trend where we have been is upgrading electtrical service to include a meter and a daily maximum

That seems to be fairly common in leading edge camp grounds
