Citation 29TB shower drains to black tank

After 2 nights camping my black tank shows full and my gray tank shows empty. Apparently the shower drains into the black tank. I've owned Winnebago and Tiffin motorhomes and the shower drained into the gray tank on both. I'm not too happy about this.
Is this an error in plumbing or is it designed this way?

The monitors could be reversed, I had a 2004 Forest River that was incorrectly wired. That's more likely than being plumbed wrong, easy to find out when you open the valves to dump.

Not sure if your shower is hooked to your black tank, but it's not unprecedented. I think my bathroom sink is plumbed to the black tank.

It's very common to plumb the bathroom sink to the black tank.

rivraton-You hit the nail right on the head. The monitors are indeed reversed.
Thanks.
