sewage hookup

I just emptied our tanks on our new 2017 Thor Vegas. I had to run the hose out the door because I couldn't access the hole in the floor. I saw in a Thor video that the sewer pipe rotates to give you access but mine didn't seem to move. I didn't want to force it. Any thoughts? Thanks

It can be kind of tight to move but the one on my Hurricane does swivel the main outlet pipe.

Grab it low as possible and firmly pull or push as needed to align

You can push the floor down a bit to allow the connectors to come in straight to the discharge end of the pipe

They are tight...
Because the alternative would be leaky.
Don't be bashful...

I keep an 18 inch section of sewer hose on my outlet all the time - with a cap on it when not in use, of course. This allows me to pull that section out the bottom opening before uncapping it. It makes everything easier and avoids any leakage into the compartment.

Pete,
I keep a two-foot extension around for the same purpose...
I just don't leave it permanently attached.

...And it will loosen up a bit over time.

I find no reason to rotate it more than once. I leave it in the down position with the cap on. It does not protrude more than an inch and being immediately behind the rear wheels, it is not ever going to contact anything. It makes it much easier for my wife when she is solo.
