Sure looks like a good and simple solution - if I have the right hoses. Thanks Bob. How’s the paw mending?

I have a related sewer hose issue. On our class C the sewer hose is stowed in the rear bumper.
Because of the arthritis in my hands, I have a lot of difficulty getting my fingers around the hose to remove it from the bumper.
Does anyone have a suggestion for some type of tool to help with extracting the hose?

Loop a lasso around it and stow the bitter end in the hose opening.
Remove the bumper end cap, grab the line's bitter end and pull it out.

Pretty well: the 5"x7.5" hole is now down to the size of a dime...

Yup! Just a bit of cord tied around the hose, with a loop in it for you to grab.

Just a small addition... I took a rat tail file and gently relieved the slot of the connector of a mismatched clear elbow. A dremel might be too aggressive.
Sorry to hear about the surgery Bob. I hope you heal quckly.

Don't forget: unhook the slinky before trying to clean up those fittings!

You can open the other end and push it out with a stick. (I used a broom handle when mine traveled to far into the bumper).

The rear bumper on my previous rig destroyed a brand new "slinky". Seems the manufacturer (Coachmen) attached a shiny aluminum cover on the bumper using screws that were so long that they allowed me to put the hose into the bumper, but when I tried to extract it, two of the screws penetrated the hose and ripped it wide open as I pulled.
I replaced those screws with short pop rivets, but never used that bumper again. And on the new rig, the bumper is only used for a collapsible step ladder.

I used the following magnetic bumper cap covers on my Class C. They connect to the hose and are easy to use.

I had the same issue and used a Dremel to grind a little plastic out of the prong holders until easier to rotate and lock in place

That is a good idea that FNY007 found to use in the bumper holder.
