Refrigerator storage

Been on trip using fridge. Should I just turn off empty contents and leave doors open?

If you are storing the RV: Yes. Empty the fridge of contents, turn it off, and leave the doors cracked.

The fridge in our Axis has some handy tabs that you can slide out that prevent the doors from closing all the way.

And add to your 'before driving' checklist to CLOSE those doors... They don't like swinging in the wind when you move the RV from storage... and those handy tabs make sure they keep swinging and don't latch.
(or course I've NEVER seen that happen myself... )

Depending on how long before the next use, and whether or not you have an ice maker, you may want to consider disconnecting the ice maker water line so it drains. The water in that line can get stagnant and nasty over time.

In typical RV fridges the water drains outside the RV (you'll see a small hose on the outside refer vents).

I usually wipe mine out with a towel once the water melts, then use a Clorox wipe to 'sanitize' the inside.

I put a small box of baking soda in mine - even though the doors are cracked. Same for the freezer too......eliminates any odors

Empty water line, hmmm, not a bad idea, but I don't like disconnecting that line as it is not easy to get to in mine. There must be a way I could cut into the line add a valve as an air vent and then when the lines are open for cleanout, it would empty then. I'll have to look into that. I sanatize twice a year, and I make sure I run the fridg, until I smell the bleach in the ice maker. Then after a few hours, I run it again until I don't smell the bleach.
