Sewer Leak

Came home from work today and my daughter told me she smelled something sweet near the RV and there is "pink water" underneath.

Yep - a load of pink RV antifreeze laying on the concrete under the RV under the holding tanks. Both valves are frozen shut and there is antifreeze leaking from the end of the sewer hose I leave permanently attached.

Hose is hard as a rock as it is below freezing here in Ohio. NICE!

Oh well, just hope I can get at it prior to out trip to Key West planned for end of March.

you need to thaw that out before valves are destroyed if they are not allready

I figure damage is done now. All the antifreeze leaked out so there is no more fluid in there to freeze. Will work on it when it warms up a little.

Thanks to the recent mild weather I found the leak! The grey water elbow froze and cracked. Parts ordered from eBay and Lowes.

There was water in the elbow just before the valve that the RV antifreeze did not mix with. First time this has occurred to me. Will pull the valve next year a little to ensure antifreeze makes it all the way down to the valve.
