Shore power blue light indicator

We have a 16 Thor Ace, 30.2. When plugged into shore power, a blue light indicator (about the size of a bb) comes on at the plug in unit on the Rv. It's a part made by Furrion. The blue light quit working, but the unit worked fine. It was under warranty, so dealer replaced it. Same thing happened on the new unit. What am I doing wrong to cause this?
Thanks.
Neil.

Probably nothing, just a cheap part.

The one on my Axis also has an LED indicating power...I don't even know if it works; just ignore it.

We have a 2016 Ace 29.3 and I don't know where the blue light is. Must not be too important. Enjoy your Ace!

Never noticed mine until I hooked up after dark a year or so ago and thought, that's kind nice. Then I noticed it is not working. If the other things that stopped working were that simple.............

Yea, it is kind of nice.
I had assumed it was the bulb. Dealer told me that the whole unit had to be replaced. They replaced it for free bc of warranty. I am outside of my warranty. It's about a $40 part!! So I'll just live with it.

We've had our 2016 Axis about 3 months and our light is out too. It was nice while it worked!

We just had ours replaced. We lost all power. Took it to Camping World. Fixed it under the extended warranty. Worked us right in and back to camping we went!

I have a 2016 ACE 27.1 and my blue "AC power on" light has quite working also. I've been trying to find out if the inlet lid comes apart to repair or replace.

I have a 2014 ACE 30.1 and mine stopped working also. However, all the AC voltage appliances and outlets are still working. I figure just a bulb malfunction; however, I think it's an LED.

Unfortunately the light is molded into the recepticle. I've seen replacement Fusion in black from $50 to $95 on the Internet.

If it really bothers you just replace the end on the cord with one doesn't have the blue light, it's cheaper than replacing the cord. I have 3 50 amp cords for mine & none have the light.

The light is not in the cord, it is on the lid of the female receptacle on the coach.

Its a nice touch, if it would just work. I suppose it's susceptible to spikes and therefore may have a short life expectancy.

More important than the blue light is; that the screwed connections in back of the receptacle are tight. I lost all power last year and tracked it down to loose connections on back. It had heated up and cracked. Had to replace it when back home. I do have the blue light with the new one.........for awhile.

I think these loose connections fall under the category like the tail lights leaking and the transfer switch; check em before they fail you.
