Wheel cover removal

I am trying to remove a wheel simulator. I have the "red tool" - a good one made in usa and all and it is completely ineffective against the beast. I grab on to a dimpled cap, turn it, wiggle it, pull it and nothing budges. I've never had this kind of cover before, so am I missing something? Doing it wrong? Is there a trick to it?

what coach do you have?

on my rig it's one piece, middle "dimpled cap" is attached to the whole unit.

my simulated chrome wheel covers for the E450 come off gradually with a long, large, wide flat headed screwdriver (or any type of pry-bar with a wide flat head)
I start on the outside of the rim, pick any one side, pry off a bit, then move a few inches and pry some more.
a slow process 1/2 way around the rim usually releases the beast.

I have a 2015 Windsport (A). The wheel covers do not pry off like on my old Class C but are held by bolt that are threaded to the wheel lug nut studs and capped with a decorative chrome nut cover. The nuts/covers will not budge using the tool that supposedly is used for this purpose.

The dimpled nuts are just that - nuts. There are two or three of them that have to be unscrewed just like lug nuts. Once they are removed the wheel simulator comes off.

Thanks. Maybe they are just corroded or put on really tight. I guess I will have to break out the impact wrench. They made it look so easy on etrailer.

We lost 1 of those bolts on our sob class A WOW was I surprised when we got a replacement it probably weighed a pound.
The chrome "cap" is not a bolt it just presses on the bolt that is on top of the lug bolt.
The tool is a joke, try prying it off with a big screwdriver
