Unknown alarm

Bought all but new 2021 Four Winds 31 WV. Started hearing a shrill alarm sound from somewhere in coach whenever ignition is turned on.

Pulled out drawer under fridge and found a small alarm noise maker. It has two wires connected and makes a LOUD high freq tone. Device was just laying on floor behind drawer and under fridge.

Unplugged it and, of course, no more alarm. Also everything seems to operate normally. Alarm is round with screw on collar indicating it is made to be mounted in about a 1.5" hole.

What the hell is it?

Thanks to anyone with any ideas!

Since it only happens with he ignition on it won’t be the propane alarm. Do you have an automatic leveling system? Can’t think why the alarm would be near the fridge but there certainly would be an alarm if the jacks had leaked down even a tiny bit.

Unless someone with the same model coach can help I suggest you call Thor and ask them because all you will get otherwise are guesses.

Jimbo pointed you in the right direction. Retract your levelers.

My levelers always put up quite a ruckus when I fire up the camper.
Since I always give them a quick peek: I just ignore the noise...

Photos attached and thanks for help so far!

No levelers. Stabilizers not deployed, slide out retracted, everything I can think of is ready for travel. Photos attached of the little noise maker. It was on floor behind drawer under fridge. Yellow/black wire and white wire attached.

You can see body is round and collar screws on/off. It is designed to be in a hole with noise maker exposed. Where it lies, it is not an alarm but just an annoying noise if you are up front.

Looked at other links y'all suggested. Asked THOR via web page but no reply.

Thanks again for the help.

Well, it beats me. I agree to ask Thor or your dealer. Did you test drive it?

Test drive. . .

I test drove and drove it 50+ miles home. I did not hear the alarm. After it was home we were working on/with it and wife said "WTF is that?"

Being hidden in/under/behind stuff it is not that loud up front. Can not say for sure if noise was there all along or not!

I assume you have the 31 WV since there is no 33 WV, and it comes with electric stabilizers standard. They don't have to be "deployed" to cause an alarm, they just have to be "not fully stowed". Try retracting all your jacks and see if that resolves the alarm.

31wv

Yes, 31WV. Tried to go back and edit my typo but didn't see how.

I will do a deploy/retract cycle on stabilizers again. I made sure they were up but didn't look at that as closely as I could have.

I'll let y'all know.

Thanks again!

Solved

Still don't know why alarm would just be laying on floor behind drawer under fridge where you barely really hear it from drivers seat.

BUT!! We let alarm sound while we raised/lowered/raised stabilizers about 5 times. Alarm went away finally! A stabilizer sticking or sensor/switch stuck . . whatever it WAS a stabilizer!

Thank you everyone.
