Side window bar attachment...

On my 2014 Hurricane - last year the vertical bar attached to the moving glass on the drivers side window fell off (the piece you grab to open/close and contains the locking mechanism...)

I tried reattaching - but never got a good fit/seal - and finally had the dealer do it on a service visit (didn't cost me anything under extended maint contract as I had other repairs being done.)

Now the passenger side piece has fallen off - and nothing else taking care of the deductible on the service plan - so looking for ideas to fix myself.

The piece has a metal channel with rubber insert that should slip over the glass. There is no sign of adhesive on the glass or metal/rubber - so what is supposed to hold it in place?

Anyone have success reattaching?
