Silicone wet or dry

Was putting silicone and was talking to neighbor who stated he was told to use dry silicone. I was using liquid wrench silicone spray (slick coating). Being a newbie I figured I would ask the experts. Is this spray ok and if not would it harm anything. Used it once. Any recommendations.

Don’t know the reason why but I think dry silicone is the stuff to use. I think I read it in this forum so I always spray with that.

Schwintek recommends only one type of lube and it's not silicone. Check their web site or you tube vids.

Ron has used CRC Heavy Duty Silicone for many years .. however, having read the article on CRC with PTFE (which I googled to see what it was !) .. he had me add this compound to our Amazon 'wish list' so I can order it for the upcoming season....We always appreciate the feedback from Forum members and are NEVER too old to learn new and better ideas !!

My computer is having trouble with videos right now... if one starts playing: it crashes!
Can you tell me about their suggested choice of lubricant?
Thanks!

Thanks Guys!
We've been working on this 'puter for three solid weeks...
It's sort of like a hatchet fight with an octopus!

I've been using this for the last 5 years on my slides, jacks, door hinges, anything that's supposed to move freely with no issues. NEVER use WD 40, it's for rusted bolts only! It has the same Teflon ingredient as the CRC for about a 3rd of the price, I get it at Wal-Mart. The dry stuff I used left a powdery residue behind after it dried.
Just another slide FYI, the factory guys recommended using Pledge furniture polish on all the slide seals & any other seals throughout your rv, dirt doesn't stick to it & smells better than the expensive seal conditioner, I buy the dollar store imitation which works just as well.
