Slide out not working

The front motor extends the slide out briefly and then stops moving altogether. The back is not opening at all. It’s a Thor Windsport 29M. 2019. It’s been sitting for three months. Batteries are now fully charged but slide out not working.

Did you look at the 4 other threads regarding slide-out issues started in the last 48 hours?

Is there something on top of the slide acting as a lock?

Check the locking arms on the slide topper.

The end that moves a little is probably ok
The list of possible problems for the other end is pretty long
Something blocking it, bad controller, bad cable between the controller and motor happened to us, bad motor, bad swintech rails ??? Check youtube for RV SLIDE.

If you DIY at all fixing it is MUCH better than taking it to your dealer
Good luck and keep us updated

If you can find the controller you could swap the two cables connected to it. If the problem does not change sides you have a bad motor.

Put the lippert controller in override mode. Press the reset button 6 times on the 7th hold it about 5 sec till the green and red lights flash. Release immediately. The lights need to continue to flash. Then go to control panel and extend slide.

Do this if you don't have any error codes flashing.

Slides

When we were looking for an RV with slides - I always asked "how to mechanically open and/or close the slide mechanically" and show me.
Our last HR had slide problems but was easy to bring it in without the motor (3/4" open ended wrench). It took a little time but quite straightforward.
