Sliding door to bedroom won't stay on bottom track, fixed.

So we had an issue where I think someone fell against the sliding door to the rear of bedroom of the RV. The sliding door is 2 parts, and the part that stays closest to where they store when pushed back had come apart on the bottom. I think they are made out of recycled cardboard or something else.

First I tried gluing in the broken parts back in. That did not last.

So I removed it. They have latches on the top that swing open and then you can remove it from the upper slides.

Photos of the project.

The first photo is how messed up it is.

To fix this I made a metal L that bolted through the door using 'chicago bolts'. I used the existing bottom chunk of metal and welded a tab along the side.

Door works fine now. If you have questions after looking at my photos please ask.

Finished Product:

You are near the target with the recycled cardboard comment. Thanks for sharing your solution!
