Software for steps

Our steps were haunted opening and closing with no clear reasons. Replaced the controller and it appeared to work fine but it will not stay open with the switch off, door closed, ignition off. It works flawlessly as you open and close the door. The dealer is troubleshooting and said they think it’s a software issue. Comments please? Drives me bonkers at
camp sites.

Uh, don't think that those controllers have ANY software, not even firmware, straight logic circuitry. If the 5 wires are connected correctly, the controller has a problem for sure.....but NO software.

2018 Thor 37rb class a. My back steps would go out with a key turned on and not go back up. They work fine with the engine oil And the door opening and closing. Took it to the dealer they just clean the connections plug them back in and they work fine for about a week and a half. Now they are doing it again. Check and clean your connections at the plug first
