Solar and Gen jse

We have a new 200W suitcase solar system with a PWM controller. Can I use my 4K watt generator with the solar attached? Not sure if under generator power if it will back feed through the controller. I use the alligator clips on the solar system so it’s easy to disconnect but would like to keep attached. Thanks!

No problem. Most modern charging sources play nice with each other. The solar controller has a diode circuit that limits back feeding it.

Do you hook the "suitcase" up to your battery bank with alligator clips?
They would be redundant; since the generator would be charging the batteries anyway...

Thanks for the replies. Generator would only be used for 110v needs or to fully charge the batteries.
