Source for RV Hardware

For those of you needing hardware for your RV check out RV Designer. There were posts from folks needing curtain hangers etc... and it appears these folks make most of those items. Their web site also has a "Where to Buy" selection so you can find the closest supplier.

The web site is:

Recreational Vehicle Parts, Recreational Vehicle Accessories, Recreational Vehicle Hardware, Recreational Vehicle Drapes, Recreational Vehicle Curtains, Recreational Vehicle Curtain

Hopefully this may help some of you in locating some of the items being sought out.

Also, here is a neat little item I came across that can save money when winterizing an RV with whole house water filtration. It's a plate that closes off the filter housing so you require less antifreeze during winterization.

No problem.

How's the coach holding up, any issues?

With all the rain here I noticed a small leak around my bathroom emergency exit window that I need to look at. I also came across a small squirrel in the storage compartment with the power cable. My top priority now is to get rid of that 5 inch sewer hose access cover Thor installed and replace it with an actual power cable access cover. I don't need a squirrel deciding he likes the taste of the propane hoses running along the ceiling of that compartment.

Everything is going well. Leo's replaced the 6 volt house batteries, hooked up the microphone for hands free phone use, and installed a satellite radio for me. Took the coach to Lewistown, PA last weekend and had a good relaxing weekend. Leo's has the parts on order to replace the awning lights, and one of the rear tail light assemblies which has a crack in it. Also, still have a slight leak in the shower. They replaced the shower head assembly but I think the leak is coming from under the shower floor pan. They can fix that when I take it back when the other parts come in. In the mean time I am looking at getting a solar charger maintainer to keep the batteries charged between trips.

Hi Dave,

I completely agree ....I would like to replace the 5 inch screw cover with something that will allow for the 50 amp cable but not allow critters inside. Did you find a cover that will fit?

Thanks,

I just now took some measurements. I originally thought this one from Valterra would work but it turns out to be too small.

http://www.amazon.com/Valterra-A10-2.../dp/B00RBLR8BU

I will continue looking.

I just measured again (measure twice and buy once) and if the inside diameter is 5 inches then the Valterra cover should work. The outside diameter on my current cover is 6 1/2 inches with an inside diameter of 5 inches.

I may see if my local RV dealer has one in stock and take my tape measure with me.

Here is one of my tricks or techniques.

I have 3 parts catalogs from different RV Dealers. Although I may not order their parts oftentimes they list the manufactures or suppliers for the parts. A simple google search and then get me to that web site or provide me with a better location for purchasing.

Just a little trick I started during a few years ago.
