Question Squeaky Front Suspension

I have a 2012 Thor Serrano, front diesel and I have developed a loud squeak that seems to be coming from the driver's side suspension. I have sprayed lubricant on both shackles and everywhere else I could possible see as a squeak potential. I am wondering if the problem could be between the leaf springs themselves. Has anyone experienced this problem? A solution would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a sway bar, the bushings may be hard and not riding the bar quietly. It is very difficult to get any lube between the rubber bushing and sway bar. But you might try. If that helps the noise, replace the bushings. It could also be leaf springs, but more likely sway bar.

Thank you for your reply. Looking underneath my motorhome, I dont see a sway bar. I wonder if it is the leaf springs. If it is the leaf springs, would one have to remove the whole set, take them apart and put a graphite lube between the leafs?

Just a shot in the dark, but on our Serrano the leaf spring retaining straps were broken on both leaf springs. I bought a set of 3" (if I remember correctly) u-bolts and installed them where the old retainers had been located. Those retainers keep the leafs in line and also close together. Solved the problem.

Thumbs up

Thank you for the information. I will check to see the integrity of my straps.
