Stair insert

Stairs insert on entry of my Thor ACE 30.2 are starting to sag/separate. Any experience on repairing or replacing the insert?

Thanks

Rob

I have a 30.2 not sure what you're refering too, perhaps a photo of the issue would help.

I'll get one in the morning. It's the 3 stairs you walk up into the RV. Temp fix is working but going to do a permanent repair now that there's warmer weather.

Thanks

I'm just not seeing it...
But if you're talking about the ribbed covering to the stairs: it should be easy to replace that. My folks simply replaced theirs with outdoor carpeting.

But if the entire stairwell is sagging: that's a horse of a different color!

Basically the insert was sagging while my wife was out on a trip and I was deployed, military. She and another guy used a jack to lift it and put those screws in the sidewall.
When looking at the pics the large screws you can see where the siding is cracked and continuing to break. Eventually it will sag enough to be a major problem. Already a large gap at the entry door when closed.
Thanks

The whole stairwell needs re-building...

...After you find something solid to work with!

Good luck; let us know what you find, once you can see what you've got to work with!

That's what I'm planning on unfortunately. Looking to do it at the end of May when I have some free time.
