Very common issue with your model. Plenty of reports on this forum as well as reported fixes. Might want to try the search feature or hopefully someone with experience will be along shortly.

On my Hurricane, Thor missed a spot when applying the dicor on the cap to roof seam. It was a simple and cheap fix.

Yup very common with Axis/Vegas units.

I had that problem on the passenger side on ours. A trip to factory service in Wakarusa, IN fixed it all up--they ended up rebuilding the wall. Took them a couple of days because they disassembled the wall and then let it sit for a good 24 hours with a fan blowing on it to dry it out (Usually you can stay in your coach at factory service but they needed mine to dry out so they couldn't give it back to me overnight. I'm close enough that I just went home until it was ready.)

You could start by removing the screws on the window's trim ring and pull it away from the wall a little. You won't be able to remove them all because the bunk bed covers the window on the top.

Look behind the trim ring and see if you find any gaps or places water can get in and seal that up.

What year is the coach? How long have you had it? My leak was not the window. Was a combo of satellite radio antenna, cab lights above windshield, mirror. Probably a good idea to take it to a repair center and have it pressurized (called seal tech). But do it quickly.

If you are asking about my repair at factory service: No it wasn't done under warranty. If I remember correctly the fix was something like $700 or so (they charge $120/hour). Was a few years ago so I could be off.

When you go there they take a look at it and give you an estimate before performing the work so you do have a go/no go decision before they start tearing it apart.

If you are contemplating taking it back to factory service (I would highly recommend it, they are excellent) you have to call Thor and arrange an appointment.

Response I had from Thor:

"You should be able once the water leak is stopped you should be able to just change the wall paper out ."

Anybody out there did a fix like this ???
Did not find proper way to seal the side window.

Tks

Did you discover and seal the leak? If it’s indeed the window, there are several great videos on YouTube as to how to reseal the window. However, I would arrange for your dealer to pressure test the unit. It’ll cost a couple hundred bucks. But my guess is you have more than 1 leak.

I had a similar problem on my Palazzo. Turns out the problem was a clogged drain hole but not sure if this is the same on your rig. Slide the window all the way open. Then look carefully along the inside of the track, at the 90 degree angle formed by the bottom of the track and the metal flange running along the exterior of the window. There is a longitudinal slit there that drains the water from the window exterior. You may have to use a wire brush to find it. If the slit is clogged with debris water will accumulate within the track, run under the window slide and overflow into the RV interior. I cleaned out the drain and my window no longer leaks.

Decided to did it myself with the help of my son, Dealer does not take responsibility as I expected. Told me between 1500 or $2500 cdn to fix and not sure. Many apparent issues from the outside and inside.
If anybody have done this, I would appreciate their input, I will let you know of the outcome when done.
It is a 2016 vegas 24.1. Thor will not consider any responsibility also
Thanks

Inside window trim not even

As anybody seen this. The inside window trim is not even with the wall on both lower left corner. If so, how was it corrected ???

Also the window driver's side they put sillicone in part of the channel ???
I suspect this is probably an issue, tech at dealer said no ???

Thanks

Haven't seen silicone in the channel but it doesn't sound right to me: you want the water to be able to drain on the outside.

As far as the trim ring: It is fairly easy to remove: just unscrew all those screws. Fixing your gaps would be pretty easy: just remove the screws re-align and re-screw back down--if the ones where its separating are stripped shove some toothpicks and glue in the hole.

we had both passenger and drivers side leak....but only in huge downpours.

two things I found:1 the point where the front cap and body come together were separating. proper caulking and new longer screws fixed this issue.
second issue was the installation of the window caulking. I ended up sealing the window by filling the gap with self leveling caulking. (only the top 3/4 of the window.)
our damage did not require any wall repairs. remove the window screws on the bottom, none of ours were rusted.

All the repairs were done with guidance from posts on this forum.

might take a bit of searching as I find quite a few 24.1 owners are very hands on.
Good Luck!
BTW we are in Kingston.
Rick

Looks like I got it too!

I noticed that our walls along the driver side were bulging too today. Picked away a little wallpaper and it’s got some black looking wood behind it. Hooray. My second trip with our used RV and now I see a huge project. We also heard some water sloshing around last night while driving. Kind of sounded like a water fountain under the passenger side fold out dash board table. We store our manuals by that vent and they were a little damp. Is there a drain that could be blocked? There is a foam rectangle behind that vent and it was damp. I’m thinking some condensation isn’t getting out.
The wall that is also water damaged, I’m just guessing that was water from the over the passenger side window. There’s really no way to get all of that wall paper out from along the edge of the dashboard. I guess thhe DIY way is to just cover it all up. Anyone got before and after pics?
