Steps

Steps on my 2000 1245LT. I have had trouble with these steps for years put an upgraded bigger motor new control box to no avail. Even Thor in Wakarusa Indiana could not figure it out. Sometimes they go out sometimes they don’t.. what I’m wondering is if there is an LCI repair shop in the country someplace? Thanks in advance for any advice.

When they DONT go out or in, step on it just ever so much. Mine did that, it turned out to be the main 4 bolts holding up the stairs where loose. A third ground?.
You can also prove the theory of bad ground by taking a wire and attaching it to the frame and green wire on steps.

My only advice is to call LCI yerself, I suspect they would know.

Check your ground wire. Make sure no rust. Clean area really well make sure it’s getting a good ground. Be careful working on steps. In cases steps go in or out.

If you crawl underneath you’ll find that there are quite a few pivot points that are not visible from above requiring lubrication as well.
