breaker size safety recall

I am a long way from a dealer, and was wondering if I can check this myself, and change if needed? The letter says I should have a 70amp breaker, and I may currently have a 100amp. Can someone tell me where this is located?

It would help if we knew the type and year of your RV since Thor builds more than 12 different of motorized coaches and 14 brands of trailers and 5th wheels.

Circuit breakers are located in or close to the battery compartment and under the hood.

As Beau said, more information is needed including maybe the text of this letter, the recall number, and of course your specific RV information.

EDIT: A little Internet research found this information:

Quote:
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2017-2021 Freedom Elite motorhomes. A 100amp converter breaker was incorrectly installed at the battery tray when a 70amp breaker is required, possibly resulting in the wiring connected to the breaker overheating.

TMC will notify owners, and dealers will replace the converter breaker with one of the correct amperage if needed, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin September 22, 2020. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-855-2867. TMC’s number for this recall is RC000199.
DC breakers are located in the battery compartment or for Class C MHs with house batteries under the steps, very close to the battery location.

So the answer to the OP's question is "Yes, you can do it".
