If it's a steel bumper, they will rust out from the inside over time. Best to use a plastic tube big enough for a sewer hose and its ends if you have a good place to mount. Fortunately my unit has plenty of compartment storage at the dump valves to handle storing the hoses.

One of the last motorhomes I rented (think it was Cruise America made by Thor but not sure) had a built-in plastic round tube pocket next to dump valves for storing the hose. It worked good -- was convenient.

With our last RV I shaved off some of the finger tabs on the Rhino coupler ends for it to fit into the bumper storage.

We use the Rhino and it fits fine. The ends rotate so I just rotate them so the tabs are in the corners of the square bumper.
