12V battery hookup

I think I need help, (more often than not, lol) I have two 12V batteries hooked up in parallel (12V output).
Generally, when I look at hookups, the 12V output all comes off one positive post and the negative, off the other battery’s negative post.
In my RV, it seems the positive post each seem to feed power to accessories. Is this OK? I am very confused and don’t seem to get the life out of these two batteries I expect!
(Btw, both positives seem to go to different breakers)

Here’s a few pics. Any comments welcome!
