Strip lights

My strip lights under my awning where it is attached to motor home has stopped working.
I checked all fuses I could find.
Any advice I’d appreciate

I’d try temporarily bypassing the switch with jumper wires directly from the lights to the battery. If the lights work I’d try connecting the jumpers to the factory wires at the switch. That’ll help you determine if the problem is at the switch or wiring. Look for pinched or cut wires in the awning mechanism. Good luck.

Many have mentioned there is an inline fuse behind the switch controlling the lights.

Yep. Remove the switch; there should be an inline fuse in the wiring attached to it. While the switch is off the wall, check the wire connections.

Awning lights

Ok I didn’t check the inline fuse for my awning lights and today I tried to travel in my motor home and it won’t even turn over when I turn the ignition switch?
Could this be related to the awning?
Batteries are all charged!
Just one clunk at the sillinoid when I turn key??

I wouldn’t think so, but electrical problems can be vexing. The lights are powered by the house batteries while the starter is, of course, operated by the chassis battery. Are you quite sure the batteries are all topped up?

I did just check the inline fuse on awning lights and it was blown.
Replaced it but only spotty lights are working on the strip?

Is/are the "house" battery/ies fully charged, and water level full?

Re: the starting problem - - did you try the emergency start switch, which sends power from all batteries to the starter?

There’s a problem between silanoid and starter

Will the engine start with awning out?
Maybe that sensor is bad?

Most definitely yes. You can drive quite easily with the patio awning out until it hits a stop sign. The awning will not move in/out unless the ignition is off.
