I can't remember on my motorhome but what are the tracks made of aluminum or stainless steel. If they are aluminum and stainless steel screws are used the positive electrons in the track will go to the negative electrons in the screws and cause the aluminum to corrode but the screws will last much longer

I had not thought about electrolysis between the stainless screws and the aluminum track. Would I be better off with steel screws? Thanks

I haven't looked up steel yet. I do remember putting a cb antenna on a aluminum bumper and after years the bumper in that spot turned to white powder around it

I did some reading on electrolysis between aluminum and various screws last night. Obviously aluminum screws are best but that's out due to low strength. Stainless is generally good but there can be some damage if it gets wet, especially salt water (no issue with salt water for me). A suggestion is paint or tape. I would paint the screws but that tracks were treated with dry lube so I doubt anything will stick. An insulating (plastic) washer is another possible solution I might try if I can find some hard plastic washers that will still apply the pressure on the track. BTW: The original screws appear to be zinc steel and there is no rust of oxidation.
